Neighborhood Villages

Posted

Recently we have had a lot of postings on the subject of aging and what happens when you need frequent care. Something that occurred to us, what happens before that point? Where can you turn when you are only looking for a ride somewhere or help fixing a light bulb, or even reading emails? We are very fortunate in this DC metro area to have a large network of neighborhood villages. These villages are run by amazing people and everyone who is sent out when a member calls is a volunteer! It is truly amazing. As we have said before, aging is a process. The villages are a great place to start when you have only just begun this process and would feel more comfortable with some help here and there. Here are a few that we are aquatinted with, please check them out. If you know of any more, please share!
